17 years! FMOB. It was blowing a gale but we bottled it, despite the likes of Razor and Hartson:

Shaka Hislop
Ian Pearce
Neil Ruddock
Javier Margas
Eyal Berkovic
Trevor Sinclair
Stan Lazaridis
John Moncur
Frank Lampard
John Hartson
Ian Wright

V Wimbledon, we ended up defending on the 6 yard box, was quite funny in the end.

Berne

That was under Zola...

Burnley scored 3 goals whilst they were down to 10 men....

Jimenez got his first goal from a pen iirc...maybe his only goal

I was also at the West Brom one as well although at least we went down to ten men in that one!

I was there. It was another 'it could only happen to us' kind of game!

Fuck me. I was in New York when this game was on. Was it that long ago. Scary.

Always thought Wimbledon had a few decent players but just played shocking football.

Jason Euell and Marcus Gayle at their peak were decent players, that Carl Cort was alright as well till he got crocked at Newcastle.

The hardest shot was collymoor in a pub in Paris

weren't we 3-0 down away to Cardiff in one of the cups and won 4-3 with defoe scoring a hatrick?

Or was that 2-0 down and we one 3-2?

Efan EKOKU scored a screamer, even as he shaped up to hit it, I knew it was going in.

Nearly took the net off. Hardest shot since Cyrille REGIS notched up the South Bank.

0-3 down at Leicester in 1975. 3-3 in the last minute. Goals from Lampard, Bonds and Patsy Holland..can't remember who got the equaliser but remember the pandemonium in the away section! One of my first away games.

did the opposite of that Sven up at Blackburn in the Macari era

5-1 down (Justin Fashanu playing I seem to recall)

Got it back to 5-4 and would likely have won given another 5-10 mins

Re: West Ham 3 Wimbledon 4 - 17 years ago today!
Getting torn apart at 5-0 up can only happen to one side

Sven Roeder 10:04 Wed Sep 9
Re: West Ham 3 Wimbledon 4 - 17 years ago today!
That was utterly ridiculous
Backs to the wall and being overrun at 5-1, 5-2, 5-3
Another 10 mins would have been very interesting

Re: West Ham 3 Wimbledon 4 - 17 years ago today!
Weren't we 5-0 up against Burnley recently and they got it back to 5-3. If that game had gone on another 5 mins it had 5-5 written all over it

Re: West Ham 3 Wimbledon 4 - 17 years ago today!
I was thinking of that one. Scott Parker doing the h/t team talk!

As a crowd I think we expect these things to go wrong so it probably doesn't help.
If/when we are 3-0 up I always think .... is there still time for us to lose

Eggbert Nobacon 9:57 Wed Sep 9
Re: West Ham 3 Wimbledon 4 - 17 years ago today!
3-0 back to 3-3 at West Brom is best I can think of

Sven Roeder 9:55 Wed Sep 9
Re: West Ham 3 Wimbledon 4 - 17 years ago today!
It's a terrible thing when you have dominated and then the tide turns
And you can just sense the INEVITABILITY of it all

Have we ever done the same?
I can't recall any examples.
